Mtre. Catherine Dufresne joined the firm in 2016 after having completed her articling and practices mainly in civil and administrative litigation, and labour and employment law. She is regularly called upon to draft procedures, briefs and legal opinions in diverse areas of law, as well as to represent clients before the courts and administrative tribunals.

Mtre. Dufresne is also a member of the Canadian Association of Counsel to Employers.

Prior to joining the firm, Mtre. Dufresne completed three internships in the course of her studies and worked as a summer student in the legal departments of a large Quebec coporation and a Crown corporation.

In the course of her studies, Mtre. Dufresne had the opportunity to study international commercial law at the University of Hertfordshire in England for a semester. She also acted as a teaching assistant at the Faculty of Law of the Université de Sherbrooke.

Community involvement

  • Participated in the Pro Bono Students Canada Université de Sherbrooke Section.
  • Was involved in in legal clinics in Montreal and Estrie regions.
